Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Welcome to Bedside. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Bedside, an educational tool that helps medical students and trainees practice clinical reasoning on synthetic, fictional cases. By creating an account or using Bedside, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Bedside.
Medical & educational disclaimer
Bedside is an educational simulator. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Synthetic, fictional cases. All patients, histories, examinations, investigations, and outcomes in Bedside are fictional and AI-generated. Any resemblance to real people or real cases is coincidental.
- Not medical advice. Nothing in Bedside is medical advice, and it must never be used to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about a real patient. Using Bedside does not create a doctor–patient or clinician–patient relationship.
- AI can be wrong. Cases, patient role-play, feedback, and tutoring are generated by AI models and may contain clinical inaccuracies — including in drug doses, diagnostic criteria, and management steps. Treat all output as a starting point for verification, not a reference of record, and always check it against authoritative sources, your curriculum, and qualified instructors.
- No real patient data. Do not enter any real patient information, protected health information (PHI), or identifiable clinical data into Bedside. Doing so violates these Terms and may trigger obligations your institution defines separately.
- Emergencies. Bedside is not for emergencies. If you or someone else may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
Who can use Bedside
